The Lord created the heavens and the earth. Then proceeded to create the laws of nature and the creatures to dwell therein. The stars in the sky to dictate the night and day, a sense of time and progression. Using the dust of the earth, creates man. From man’s rib, the Lord creates woman. The two were given dominion over His creatures, to rule together for all time. Mankind was called the Lord’s most beloved creation.
Made in His image, distinct from the rest. Yet, in our curiosity, we wanted more than what was provided. Being indicted from the wicked deceiver, introduced the plague of sin that spans across time, to this very day. How can something that is loved more than the mystery of the cosmos, loved more than the distinct creatures of the sea, be so full of chaos and wickedness. We are fickle beings, quick to our ambitions and wanton lusts. Ready to claw through the ranks to rise above the rest. To create weapons that can decimate memories, never to see the light of day again. The darkness consumes our heart, plagues our thoughts, hardens our soul. Even when we pull away and deny His love, the Lord sends His Son to die on our behalf, to make right what we have wronged. To restore the promise of what was intended to be. Now we can live in harmony with our Creator, through the blood of the Lamb.
Let us always remember the actions and consequences of our ancestors. For a smart man learn from his mistakes, an even smarter man learns from the mistakes of others. Just like it was in the garden, we have been given a choice. Do we live for the Lord, or do we live for ourselves. For creation will cease and fade like dust in the wind. Yet Christ reigns and will continue to do so for all eternity.
